I might be a native English speaker but I'm a local bird guide, birding the areas I tour to all year round and almost introvenously connected to the regional birding networks.

After eleven seasons now, it's been absolutely fantastic. I still love showing people the incredible range of habitats and breath-taking landscapes here in Catalonia and, my 'thing' being ethology after studying Zoology at Cardiff University, discussing the behaviour and natural history of its amazing birds as we go.

Last year alone I was visited by over a dozen nationalities and saw over 300 bird species.

Apart from the tours, I've been involved in Programa Migres, counting raptors and storks over the Straights of Gibraltar for S.E.O. (Spain's equivalent of the R.S.P.B.), and completed three years' winter bird atlas surveys and Programa Noctua, a census of owls and nightjars.

Incidentally, I'm more than happy to answer queries about birds and birding in Catalonia - even if you're planning a trip without me.
